About Kaibo Beach Restaurant
The oldest and the favorite local destination in Cayman Kai, Kaibo Beach combines the feel of down-to-earth beach bar with a fine island establishment. First established in the 1983 to serve drinks to Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on her tour of Grand Cayman, Kaibo Beach restaurant’s charm remains intact, whilst staying on-point with consistently excellent food, drinks and service.
This restaurant is at the heart of Kaibo’s luxurious Rum Point estate, situated on over 315-feet of pristine reef-protected beach. Kaibo Beach Restaurant offers a resort lifestyle with an abundance of space and tranquility. Welcome to Paradise!
Well known for its palm fringed beaches and daybeds to escape into, with warm hospitality from the friendliest staff, the attraction of Kaibo Beach is it’s remoteness from the Seven Mile strip. The quickest way to travel is by water taxi, with Cayman Ferries, arriving at the dock in just 25 minutes from Camana Bay.
Wonderful friendly beach vibe, with starfish abundant in the shallows as well as the decor, reclined loungers, striped walls, thatched cabanas, flatbread pizzas baked outdoors, fish of the day, live music 3 days a week, and the locally sourced ingredients are key qualities of Kaibo Beach Restaurant. The menu is island style, authentic, fresh and delicious. Come for the speciality drinks, such as the Rare Rum Mojito, or the Premium Mudslide, and you’ll stay because you belong.
At Kaibo, there’s always something fun going on at the beach…… and it’s decidedly unpretentious; a favourite with ‘beach people’, off-duty professionals, watersports fanatics, rum afficionados, dog owners, relaxed families and of course the local residents at Rum Point. Bioluminescence kayak tours and paddle boards are available if you’re feeling active. If not, come to watch the boaters pull into the marina, and then frequent the bar for their own refuelling. Even when the sunset crowd regulars pile into this island retreat, there is always plenty of space on this white sand beach. Grab seat on the sand, at any table, to enjoy the best view on island, and you’ll be made to feel welcome. If you’re into dancing, you’re in luck because every Tuesday night a local band plays on the beach, while the beach kitchen team prepare your dinner under a cabana for the Caribbean BBQ.
