What is Kitefest Cayman?

Kitefest Cayman is part of Kaibo’s vision to celebrate Caymanian culture. The kite festival is set to welcome the summer season, when the wind is suitable for kite-flying activities. Visit or camp in Cayman Kai over Easter to take part in an age-old custom. The Caribbean tradition of kite flying on the island’s breezy shores may have been forgotten by many, and we hope that Kitefest will inspire the new generation of Caymanians to return to a custom that is free and environmentally friendly.

The event will not have a door fee, it is free to all, there will be a boat running from Camana Bay, and a live band playing on the beach. Entrants into the different kite competition categories have a chance to win fantastic prizes from local companies, such as an iPhone 5 donated by Lime.

If you enjoy live local music and a chance to fly a kite in the Caribbean breeze, we hope to see you on the beach for our annual Easter Monday Cayman Islands Kitefest!

Kaibo Beach is open every day over the Easter break from 11am until midnight. upstairs restaurant is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 6pm.
