The oldest and the favorite local beach bar in Cayman Kai, Kaibo Beach Bar combines the feel of down-to-earth beach shack with the elegance of one of the Island’s finer establishments. Kaibo Beach Bar is well known for its wide selection of ice cold beer, (the coldest on the island, several degrees below refrigeration) devotedly covered by fresh mountains of ice, day and night.

is a popular mantra at Kaibo. The 45 minute drive from George Town is picturesque with historical Bodden Town, The Botanical Gardens and The Mastic Trail on the way. The quickest way to travel to Kaibo Beach from seven mile beach is by boat, only 15 minutes from Camana Bay.

Wonderful bar staff, retro beach signs on the back wall, free wifi, the Tuesday BBQ and the affordable all day menu (island style) are key qualities of Kaibo Beach Bar.

Kaibo Beach Bar is nestled in the quiet harbor of secluded Cayman Kai and the North Sound Nature Reserve, nearby the colloquially known ‘Starfish Point’.

Kaibo Beach is a guaranteed NO TV zone, and there’s always something fun going on at the beach…

… and it’s decidedly unpretentious; a favourite with ‘beach bums’, off-duty professionals, watersport fanatics, rum afficionados, dog owners, relaxed families and of course the local Cayman Kai crowd.

Come to watch the boats pull into the marina, the boating crowd visit the gas station and then frequent the bar for their own refuelling. Even when the sunset crowd regulars pile into this paradise retreat there is always plenty of space on this white sand beach.

From sunset Kaibo will fill up with regulars, but pull up a stool at the bar with arguably the best view on island, and you’ll be made to feel welcome.

If you’re into live music, you’re in luck becasue every Tuesday night a local band plays on the beach, while the beach kitchen team prepare your dinner under a cabana for the eat-all you-can the BBQ.

Private parties under the thatched cabanas on the beach offer privacy with white muslin curtains, and a sense that you are really living the Caribbean dream.

To really finish off the Caribbean experience ask to see the list from the Rare Rum Bar, a well kept hidden secret, and  available to beach bar diners. The boutique wine list is also fantastic.

If you are short of time or want to arrive in style, come by water taxi, a 15 minute journey across the North Sound.
